UP & OUT
Make a little racket. Steer a paddle, carve through nine graphic brick walls, and chase the space above them.
How to play
Tap anywhere to begin. Drag horizontally anywhere on the play area to move the paddle; on a computer, move the mouse or hold the left and right arrow keys. The ball serves automatically. Break every brick to clear a wall, then tap to enter the next layout. An edge catch makes a wider return; a central catch sends the ball more steeply upward. Each miss costs one of your three balls. Your remaining balls carry into the next layout.
Controls
- Touch: drag horizontally anywhere to move the paddle.
- Mouse: move across the game to position the paddle.
- Keyboard: hold Left/Right or A/D to move; Space/Enter starts or continues.
- P or Escape, or the pause button: pause and resume.
- Tap anywhere after a clear to continue, or after a loss to start a new run.
- Music-note button: toggle sound.
Tips
- Catch the ball near a yellow paddle tip for a wider angle; the centre gives a steeper return.
- Open a route to the ceiling to chain brick hits. Longer chains earn larger point bonuses.
- The red top row gives the largest speed boost. Stay ready for the return.
- Three balls cover the whole run. Clearing a wall keeps your remaining balls.
- Keep your balls: each surviving ball adds 1,000 bonus points when you clear a wall.
About UP & OUT
A bold, paper-and-ink arcade game with nine hand-built brick layouts. Slide the cobalt paddle to keep your ball alive, catch it near an edge to bend its return, and open a route above the wall for a glorious rattle of quick hits. Red top-row bricks give the biggest speed boost. Each surviving ball adds 1,000 points when a wall clears. Every layout begins faster than the last, and a run has just three balls. Row-tuned cracks, warm paddle thumps, geometric confetti and a poster-style scorecard celebrate the climb. Clear the ninth design to begin faster encores.
