Empire Hustle
Roam a realistic 3D New York-style city: take any car, fly a plane or helicopter, drive taxi and ambulance shifts, fight, and work eight story jobs.
How to play
FREE ROAM lets you do anything; START plays the story jobs (yellow J markers start them later) and CONTINUE returns to your last save. Walk with the stick or WASD, jump with Space or JUMP, and press GET IN (E) next to any vehicle. In a taxi, ambulance or police car its job starts by itself; getting out ends it. On foot, ATTACK (click, K) punches or fires at the target ahead; buy weapons at Borough Arms. C switches between chase and first-person views. Busted, you start at a police station; wasted, at a fire station. Save from the pause menu.
Controls
- Touch: left thumb joystick moves; ATTACK, weapon, JUMP, GET IN/EXIT, RUN, BRAKE and BOOST buttons on the right
- Keyboard: WASD or arrows walk, drive and fly; Space jumps on foot and brakes in cars; E gets in or out
- Mouse click, K or J: attack (auto-aim); Tab or 1-5: switch weapon; drag to look around
- Shift: run, boost and nitro; helicopter: R or Shift climbs, Q descends
- C: chase or first-person camera; M: big map; H: horn; F1: show or hide the keys
- P or Escape: pause and save; CONTINUE on the title loads your save
Tips
- No money yet? Drive a taxi: fares pay more the faster you deliver, and a streak multiplies the pay.
- Borough Arms sells weapons and body armor, but it shuts its doors while the police are after you.
- A car that starts burning will explode a few seconds later: press EXIT and run.
- To lose the police, keep moving, break their line of sight and wait for the stars to clear.
- Story jobs pay big: walk or drive into a yellow J marker to start the next one.
About Empire Hustle
An original open-world action game in a Manhattan-inspired city at golden hour: a street grid cut by a diagonal avenue, a huge central park, Midtown towers, a downtown financial district, a suspension bridge to the borough across the river, a harbor airfield and a statue island, with original landmarks such as Midtown Spire, Crown Tower, Harbor One and Lights Square. Roam freely or follow eight story jobs. Every vehicle in the city can be taken: parked cars, traffic, taxis, police cars, ambulances, a light plane and a helicopter. Get in a taxi to pick up fares, an ambulance to rush patients to hospital, or a police car to stop fleeing criminals; a missed run just brings the next one. Fight with your fists, or buy a bat, a pistol, an SMG, a shotgun and body armor at the Borough Arms gun shops. People react, run or fight back, and the police come harder as your wanted stars rise. Damaged cars smoke, burn and explode; trees, lamps and hydrants go down when you drive through them. Wasted or busted, you start again from a hospital or a precinct. It plays with touch controls on phones and keyboard and mouse on computers, and the whole city is generated on your device, so it is one small download and uses no data while you play.
