Meadow Cricket
One button, one wicket. Time your swing in a sunlit village cricket ground and chase a six-filled afternoon with a red-panda batter.
How to play
Click LET'S BAT to start. Tap SWING, tap the field, or press Space or Enter just before the red ball reaches your bat. Each ball allows one swing: holding or rapid tapping will not repeat it. Perfect timing scores 6, close timing scores 4, and edges score 1 or 2. Wait while the shot plays out, then prepare for the next delivery. Missing the ball knocks over your wicket and ends the innings. Six successful balls advance the over; speed and bounce variation increase, with difficulty capped after over six. Use PAUSE, P or Escape for a break, and SFX to toggle sound. Tap BAT AGAIN to chase a new best.
Controls
- Tap SWING or the field, or press Space or Enter: swing once per ball
- PAUSE, P or Escape: pause and resume
- SFX ON/OFF: toggle synthesized sound
- BAT AGAIN: restart after being bowled out
Tips
- Watch the red ball rather than the bowler. A short windup means tapping just before it reaches the bat.
- An early swing uses your only attempt. Wait for the next ball instead of tapping repeatedly.
- A perfectly timed shot earns six. A slightly early or late edge can still keep your innings alive.
- Each over has six successful balls; the pace eventually stops increasing.
About Meadow Cricket
Step onto a sunlit village cricket ground with a red-panda batter, a rabbit bowler and a team of badger fielders. Watch the red ball travel and bounce toward your bat, then tap just before it arrives. Perfect timing sends it over the boundary for six; a close swing earns four, while edges bring one or two runs as the fielders chase. Miss once and your innings ends. Six successful deliveries complete an over, and the bowler gradually varies the pace and bounce. Chase your personal best with no timer or innings cap. Original hand-drawn-style vector scenery and synthesized sound, designed for desktop and portrait phones.
