Iron Vanguard
Pilot an armored mech through eight escalating sectors. Strafe, boost, fire guided missiles and upgrade your machine between battles.
How to play
Move with WASD, arrows or the left touch stick. Hold Space, the arena or FIRE to shoot at your locked target. Release to cool the rifle; it cannot fire while overheated. Press Q or MISSILES for three guided missiles, with a 5.5-second reload. Use Shift or BOOST to dodge; a dash costs 30 energy. R or REPAIR uses one of two kits to restore 45% armor. Tab, E or TARGET changes the lock. Dodge orange charge markers and use concrete cover. Destroy all hostiles, choose an upgrade and deploy to the next sector. Retry the current sector on defeat.
Controls
- WASD or arrows / left touch stick: move relative to the locked target
- Hold Space, the arena or FIRE: rifle; release to cool down
- Q or MISSILES: three guided missiles; Shift or BOOST: energy dash
- R or REPAIR: restore 45% armor, two kits per sector
- Tab, E or TARGET: switch locked enemy
- P, Escape or PAUSE: pause; SOUND: toggle audio
Tips
- Stay moving. Orange charge markers show where the next volley is aimed.
- A boost dodge avoids incoming damage, but repeatedly boosting drains your energy.
- Save a repair kit until enough armor is missing. Kits and armor refill between missions.
- Firepower shortens fights; armor and cooling give you more room to recover.
About Iron Vanguard
An original 3D mech combat campaign in a foggy industrial arena. Pilot Meridian Unit 09 from a shoulder camera and fight increasingly armored, faster and more aggressive opponents. A lock-on rifle, three-missile salvo, boost dodges and two field repair kits give you several ways to survive. Sentries give way to raiders, hunters, heavy units and a final Warden with escorts. Orange charge markers warn of enemy volleys, while concrete cover blocks shots. Clear every hostile, repair your mech and choose a permanent firepower, armor or cooling upgrade before the next sector. If your armor breaks, retry that sector with your earned upgrades. There is no mission timer.
