Papertail Dash
Guide an origami fox through 20 cut-paper stages: jump, double jump and slide, chase star trails and outrun five giant pursuers.
How to play
Papertail runs by itself. Jump over bushes, rocks and gaps, and press jump again in the air to double jump over tall obstacles or wide pits. Hold slide to duck under hanging hazards; press slide in the air to dive down quickly. Hitting a hazard costs energy, falling into a pit ends the run, and energy also drains over time, so collect sun drops. Reach the goal gate to clear the stage. Your score sets one to three stars. In chase stages each hit lets the pursuer get closer.
Controls
- Space, Up arrow or W: jump (press again in the air to double jump)
- Down arrow, S or Shift: slide (hold); in the air: dive
- Touch: JUMP button bottom left, SLIDE button bottom right (or the left / right half of the screen)
- Mouse: click the left half to jump, hold the right half to slide
- P, Escape or the pause button: pause and resume
- Kite ride: hold any button to fly up
Tips
- Follow the star trail: it always shows a safe line through the obstacles.
- Do not spam jump: hanging hazards hurt when you jump into them.
- Dive out of a jump with slide to get under a low branch in time.
- Collect all four K-I-T-E letters for a kite ride full of stars.
- A flawless run and leftover energy add a big bonus at the goal.
About Papertail Dash
Papertail is a little origami fox who never stops running. Race through five folded paper worlds, from spring meadows and sunset canyons to snowy peaks, festival rooftops at night and a thunderstorm in the sky. Tap to jump, tap again in the air for a double jump, and hold to slide under branches, icicles and laundry lines. Your energy slowly fades, so grab sun drops along the way, and follow the glittering star trails that mark the perfect line. Collect the letters K, I, T and E for a kite ride above the clouds, pick up a magnet, grow into a giant to smash obstacles, or hop on a paper plane. Every world ends with a chase stage where a giant hedgehog, a boulder, an avalanche, a parade dragon and finally a storm giant close in with every hit. Earn up to three stars on all twenty stages; progress is saved on your device.
